Walked down to the Chigasaki Beach today. Lovely sunny day for a walk. So nice to be out and seeing all the azaleas, wisteria, tulips etc flowering. The trees are all manicured to within an inch of their existence.
So the beach is black sand ( given Mt Fuji is close by its no wonder) and beach is 8.2 mtrs above sea level, so if there was a Tsunami then the highest point would have to be the overpass across the highway, not much good probably. No surfers actually surfing today, although we did see one with the nifty surfboard rack on their bike. Enoshima Island was not too far in the distance. Only bird life was a murder of crows and some sea hawks. We called into Bar Southerly for a pizza for late lunch. Sat and had a drink and enjoyed the afternoon. Back home in time to get Fumichan from Hoikien . Ryosuke was attacked by mozzie or mozzies last night so is a bit puffy tonight, hopefully after a good rest tonight and the ointment from his doctor he will feel better tomorrow. These last few days are going too quickly.
